Accessibility Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Lawned is committed to making outdoor services easier for everyone to access. We want clients, contractors, and support teams to use Lawned with confidence, regardless of ability, device, assistive technology, or environment. This Accessibility Policy explains the standards we work toward and how to tell us when something is not working well.

Introduction

In this policy, “Lawned”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lawned Ltd. When we say “Platform”, we mean the Lawned online lawn care marketplace, including our website, account areas, and related services.

Accessibility means designing and maintaining digital services so that people with disabilities — including vision, hearing, motor, cognitive, and situational limitations — can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Platform effectively.

We aim to align with recognised accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where reasonably practicable for our product stage.

Our commitment

We are working to improve accessibility across Lawned on an ongoing basis. Our commitments include:

  • designing interfaces that are usable with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and common assistive technologies;
  • using clear language, visible focus states, semantic structure, and sufficient colour contrast across the public site and account areas;
  • testing important booking, quoting, account, and support flows for accessibility issues as the product evolves;
  • reviewing reported accessibility barriers and prioritising fixes based on user impact and severity.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. New features, third-party integrations, and content updates may introduce barriers despite our efforts. When that happens, we want to hear from you so we can address them.

What we focus on

Navigation and structure

We aim to keep page headings, landmarks, labels, and link text meaningful so people can move through Lawned predictably. This includes logical heading order, skip links where appropriate, and descriptive labels for forms and actions.

Visual readability

We use readable type, practical spacing, and contrast-conscious colours to support people with low vision or situational limitations such as bright sunlight or small screens.

Input and interaction

Interactive controls should be reachable without a mouse and should communicate state, validation, and next steps clearly. We aim to avoid interactions that depend solely on precise pointer movement, timing, or visual cues without alternatives.

Maps and media

Property mapping and photo uploads are core to Lawned. We work to provide text alternatives, labels, and non-visual ways to understand essential job information where maps or images are used.

Known limitations

Some areas of the Platform may not yet meet our accessibility goals. Examples may include:

  • complex map drawing tools that rely heavily on pointer interaction;
  • third-party payment or mapping interfaces governed by external providers;
  • older pages or flows that have not yet been fully reviewed;
  • PDFs, downloads, or embedded content from third parties.

We prioritise improvements that unblock core tasks such as creating an account, posting a job, reviewing offers, approving work, and contacting support. If you encounter a barrier in any of these flows, please tell us.

Assistive technology and browsers

Lawned is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies, including screen readers and voice control tools. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your browser and assistive software up to date.

If a particular browser, device, or assistive technology combination does not work well with Lawned, include that detail when you contact us so we can reproduce and investigate the issue.

Feedback and reporting barriers

If you have trouble using any part of Lawned, we want to know. When you contact us, it helps if you include:

  • the page or task you were trying to complete;
  • what happened and what you expected to happen;
  • your device, browser, and operating system;
  • any assistive technology you were using;
  • screenshots or recordings if you are able to share them.

We will review accessibility reports carefully and respond as soon as practical. We may follow up for more detail to help us fix the issue.

Changes to this Accessibility Policy

This document sets out our current Accessibility Policy, last updated 1 June 2026. We may update this policy as our product, standards, or legal requirements change. An updated version will be posted on our website with a revised date.
